Welcome to Harmony Day Spa. Prior to your first visit with us we ask that you are informed of the following:

 

How do I get to Harmony Day Spa?

  • We are located 1/8 mile past Target/Bed Bath & Beyond Plaza on Arsenal St. We are located across the second entrance to BOCES Tech Center . When using a GPS please use the following address:

Can I stop by unannounced?

  • We ask that you call us or visit our website should you need information about our products and services or to book an appointment. If we are with clients and someone stops by without an appointment, this unfortunately disrupts our services already in progress. As we strive to offer each client our individual attention, we are not able to do this if we experience disruptions. Please be respectful of our policy and call to ask when someone will be available to assist you should you need to stop by. We thank you for your understanding in advance.

 

Can I bring my child, friend or relative with me ?

  • Children are not allowed in the spa at any time nor do we provide services for children that are under the age of 16. Please do not bring children or any additional guest with you that are not receiving a service.

What is required for my first time booking an appointment?

  • All new clients are asked to reserve their reservation with us by providing a valid credit or debit card. If you are booking an appointment to use a Gift Certificate, you will still be asked to reserve your appointment with a credit card. Reserving your appointment is a guarantee that you have asked us to reserve time for you. If you need to cancel your appointment(s) you are required to provide 24 hours minimal notice to avoid a service fee of 50% of the service(s) that you requested we book for you. If you do not show for your appointment(s) a service charge of 100% of the service(s) you booked will be charged.

 

  • Anyone providing a credit card that is not valid or declined will no longer be permitted in the spa and will forfeit any Gift Certificate that may be on file in lieu of any balance due for services.

What if I forget my appointment?

  • When you book an appointment with us we will ask you for general information including your name, phone number and email address. This is for the sole purpose of our communication with you. Our scheduling system will send you a confirmation of the appointment you reserved with us. You will receive this information by both text and email format. This information is sent to you 3 days prior to your reservation, 24 hours prior and the day of. WE make every effort to remind you of your appointment, however it is initially your responsibility to remember your appointment. You are required to provide us with 24 hrs notice of cancellation to avoid any service charges ( 50% less 24 hrs notice) and 100% for all no shows. Not showing for an appointment has an effect of taking a spot away from someone else,and also takes an income away from your service worker. All workers of Harmony Day Spa are self employed.  All self employed workers have no compensation for lost appointments. Providing us with the proper notice allows us the chance to fill the spot in and also provides us the opportunity to assist those seeking our services.

 

What if I need to call and the spa is closed?

  • If you need to call us past our working hours , holiday's or when we are closed ( Sun & Mon) . If you call and we are not open, please leave us a message and your call will be returned the next business day. If you call on Sunday or Monday your call will be returned on Tuesday provided Tuesday is not a holiday. We post on Facebook when we are closed for inclement weather or holidays. Why do you need a phone number or email?

  • Once established as a client of Harmony Day Spa, please advise us of any change in contact info such as phone numbers or email. By doing so we can establish an effective method of communication in the event we need to contact you should we need to cancel your appointment due to inclement weather conditions. When a travel advisory is announced in Jefferson County it is our policy to close the spa for the travel safety of our clients . When this occurs, no service fees apply for missed appointment(s) and your appointment(s) will be rescheduled as soon as our schedule permits. Every effort including Sunday and Monday ( days that the spa are generally closed) may be offered.

 

Do you provide services for groups?

  • We can not comfortably accommodate large groups or parties of more than 2 (this includes wedding parties). We want your visit with us to be peaceful and stress free . For us to provide you with this experience,  we offer one service with each client at the  time of their service. We also ask that you leave at home any electronic device such as Ipads etc. You may bring your cell phone, however we ask that you silence the ringer as not to disturb others in the spa, nor disrupt your treatment time. We ask that you do not bring any additional guest with you that are not receiving a service .

Can I choose who provides my massage?

  • If you are requesting massage therapy both of our therapists are New York State Licensed and provide therapeutic care. 

                                       Can I bring a laptop, Ipad or cell phone with me?

  • We are an electronic free and smoking free establishment. We ask that you refrain from using cell phones, laptops and Ipads when you are enjoying your service with us. We want to provide all of our clients, including your very own appointment with a tranquil and quiet environment. at all times.

I want more than one service, how much notice should I provide?

  • Please remember that when booking multiple services you provide us with 2-3 weeks notice to ensure ample time is available for the services you are requesting.

                                                                   

Where can I park?

  • We offer plenty of parking, please do not block any entrances to the spa, especially our handicap door, main entrance or driveway.

What if I receive the answer machine when you are open?

  • When calling, if we are in service with clients, we can not answer the phone. Please leave a brief message so that we can call you back when we are not assisting clients.

 

I want to stop by to make a purchase or buy a gift certificate?

  • We do not accept walk in's. All services are by appointment only. Please call us to arrange for your appointment with us.

 

  • We offer Gift Certificates through our website link Shop the Spa. The transactions are directed through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may sign in as a guest.

  • If you would like to pick up your Gift Certificate, please call us prior to your visit so that we can arrange for someone to be available to help you.

 

What do I need to tell you prior to my service?

  • Please advise us of any allergies prior to your service with us or any other challenges both physically and emotionally that you may have or if you have had recent surgery.

 

What if I am late for my appointment?

  • Arriving late will deprive you of time needed for your service(s). Please ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time with us. If you arrive late for any reason, we will have to reduce the length of time originally allowed for your service(s) so that we are on time for the remainder of our clients.

 

How do I schedule multiple services?

  • If you are looking to book multiple services at Harmony Day Spa please check your schedule to make sure you are completely free on the day that you are requesting.

  • If you are scheduling four (4) or more hours worth of service time we require a 50% non- refundable deposit.  

  • Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment; we require two (2) weeks advanced notice.  If you notify us less than two (2) weeks in advanced you will be charged the remainder of the service fee.  All of our practitioners are independent contractors; which means if you were to book the majority of the day with any particular practitioner and have to cancel, that practitioner will be temporarily unemployed as there is little time to fill the multiple spots booked.  Also other potential clients may be looking for those spots and be turned away as you have already reserved those appointments.

Can I schedule appointments for other people?
